Micris Design was engaged by the client to develop preliminary drawings for a single storey home for a family who were wheelchair bound. The design considered the topographical limitations, site flooding data, streetscape analysis, vehicle access, accessible access, and specific needs for the family.

The design incorporated a ceiling hoist system, suitable spaces for wheelchair and bed circulation, accessible appliances and furniture, heated pool and gym for rehabilitation purpose, carer requirements, emergency access to the rear by ambulance if required, site specific vehicle for transport, and overall building design.

The design and documentation was used for court proceedings and were DA ready should the client wish to lodge a Development Application.
